Employment and social
OECD work in these areas covers active labour market policies to raise employment rates and modernising social systems to meet the challenges posed by ageing populations.
The UK strongly supports the OECD work in these areas and has contributed to the 2006 revision of the OECD Jobs Strategy (a set of policy guidelines to raise employment and living standards). The OECD’s annual flagship publication – the ‘OECD Employment Outlook’ – monitors trends in employment and labour market policies.
